Jonathan McField

Q: Please introduce yourself to the readers and how you first got into this field of work –and who were some of your influences growing up?

My name is Jonathan McField from Roatan — currently based in Costa Rica.

I am a singer and songwriter. I’ve been performing live for around 15 years. My very first time singing in public was at a church choir competition in Limon CR. I never would have imagined everything I would start to attract after that experience. Almost immediately after the choir competition I got admitted to another choir, “Angelical Melodies”. This experience exposed me to choral music, negro spirituals, Costa Rica typical music, and more. I travelled with this choir to Cuba and Bocas del Toro (Panama).

I’ve always…

The hands that executed his vision, the threads that hold the hems together, the liveliness of the portrayed image, like a masterpiece that cloths the body. Perfectly well crafted to fit his physique, how could we ever forget how he graced us impeccably with his tailored suits. Setting the scenes and showing the world how dimensionally talented he is, as an amazing Musician, Song Writer, Producer, and Actor, let’s not forget that Jidenna the “Classic Man” himself is also a fashion icon.

From the heart of Mississippi, Hillary Reese has a sound of her own and everyone seems to love her country flair. Hillary reached over 30,000 followers on Facebook at 10 years old, right before she turned 11. Hillary was discovered on Facebook after putting two videos up and both videos received over one million views. It was not long after this that Hillary was hitting the studio in Franklin, Tennessee. She has a gift of delivering a song in a way to keep the attention of those listening, which causes her to be rewarded with a fast-growing, loyal fan base…

Q: So how did the project come about?

A: I had been working as a PA (production assistant) on big Hollywood blockbusters like Deadpool, War for the Planet of the Apes, and Power Rangers during the week and writing at the weekends. PA work is great but your not involved with the creative process. I met a few like-minded people in the same boat as me, actors, directors, DPs, etc all looking to be more creative. We sat down and hatched a plan to make a horror short and use it as a calling card.

Q: Sounds pretty straightforward.

A: Oh gosh, it was anything but!

Q: Oh no, what happened?

A: Straight away, me and the…

Music has always been the center of my life.

Q: What has been your favourite project to work on so far?

Q: Can you tell me anything about the Album/EP?

The first thought that came to mind when I completed all the songs on the EP was “What Genre Is This”? That is where the title came from because while I can tell you that the project really represents me as a person. I am hoping to find the answer as to what it is from each and every person that listens to it.

Q: Do you have a favorite song on the Album/EP?

That answer can change every day, it just depends on what mood I’m in.

Q: Any features on the project?

I steered away from doing many features on this project due to the project having so much importance built around representing who…

Q: Why the name Plush Mush

A very special person that I love gave me that name, so I went with it.

Q: How is the process of your music production?

The process is a bit weird to some but for me its as organized as it can be, I pretty much do a base for all the tracks and go over them all as I start to mix them up and sometimes come up with 20 different songs, the hardest part? Deciding which ones to keep haha.

Q: Corrupted Data is the first track of your debut album, tell us about that song.

Corrupted Data is like a vessel to a “fantasy futuristic world” full of neon lights and complete lack of care for the problems around, that is why…
