How do you determine success?
For me, success is financial freedom.
Has social media changed much in the last few years?
The past few years social media has changed a lot in terms of new regulations and guidelines, For example, as an influencer, we need to follow new FDC guidelines if we are promoting paid content.
Does your family also work in the social media world?
No, they don’t work in the social media world.
How does it feel to have such a large Instagram following?
I feel blessed to have a large following but having large following also comes with responsibility, I always try to make sure whatever I post or do on social media I do it within terms and guidelines set by the social network.
What are your thoughts on the removal of Instagram and Facebook likes?
it’s bad for businesses, some posts get more likes some get less, every post is not going to get a lot of likes. I learned one thing from my experience, you cannot make everyone happy.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
As social media is evolving and the way technology is changing I believe it’s the future. YouTube has been around from the past decade and it's continuing to grow, Same with Facebook and Instagram. Sometimes you gotta risk it for the biscuit, so I am all in.
Can you scale a business from platforms like Instagram?
Yes of course, for example, one retail store in the mall can see 100 clients a day. The business owner has to pay rent and hire employed to run business and he can only take a certain limit, Vs social media, the same business can get more sales by reaching more people and can ship directly from their warehouse by spending less money on other expenses. As technology is changing and Instagram has simplified shopping experiences by adding shopping tools. It’s the future.
What are your fav things to do besides social media?
love to travel and learn constantly, I also like to invest and adopt new things and never be afraid of failure. My theory is always taking the calculated risk, you gotta be right once to be successful.
