“MUSIC IS MY EVERYTHING” — INTERVIEW WITH Anea Michelle AS SHE RELEASES NEW SINGLE ‘Late’

Q: Please introduce yourself to the readers and how you first got into music.

Okay, I am Anea Michelle. I’m a singer, producer, and songwriter. I have always been into music. I was raised in the studio, so music has always been a part of my daily routine.

Q: What projects do you have coming up?

I’m working really hard on finishing up some new music right now and I’m learning to put more of an effort into promoting my work. It’s definitely a process.

Q: What are your favorite performance venues?

I like small, intimate venues like coffeehouses.

Q: What has been one of the biggest highlights of your career?

I wouldn’t call it a career just yet, but I’ve always wanted to write and produce a song for my own wedding. I was able to double that wish this year on August 17th, at my wedding. I walked down the aisle to the 1st single (“Late”) from my upcoming project and danced with my dad to the second single — which will also be the project’s title track.

Q: Who is your inspiration?

I think it’s important to inspire yourself, so I am inspired from within. Musicians are always their own worst critics, but I feel like it’s okay to be a fan of yourself and your accomplishments.

Q: Do you have any advice for young music makers like yourself?

My advice is pretty simple. Make music that represents who you are and never make a decision you won’t be proud of.
