Interview with upcoming Wisconsin artist Kklip
Q: Please introduce yourself to the readers and how you first got into this field of work –and who were some of your influences growing up?
Hi everyone, My name is Lukas I’m a 16-year-old rapper based in Wisconsin, United States and I go by the artist name of Kklip. I think getting into this field of work was just a natural thing, the first time I had ever rapped was at the age of 11 and I fell in love with it and never looked back. My influences include other musical artists who came before me like Tupac and Biggie smalls. They were some of the most real in the rap game in my opinion and really caved the way for other artists.
Q: What kind of training have you had, if any?
I have not had any professional training but when I did first start rapping I watched a lot of Rob Levels YouTube videos on how to better myself as a musical artist.
Q: What has been your favourite project to work on so far?
I think my track with Atrax spits was a really fun track to do. I even singed a little bit on that and I’m not much of the singer type it was a different but fun thing to do.
Q: How did you get the gig?
I got this gig through a site called Fiverr
Q: What sports do you enjoy watching?
Sports I enjoy watching are football and basketball I have played both for my school and there a fun thing to do for sure.
Q: What has been one of the biggest highlights/achievements of your career?
I still have a long way to come up in the rap game scene but some of my career highlights so far were being featured on 2 global hip hop pages and even things like this interview they bring more exposure to my name and more credibility, and I think one of my achievements was when my music hit 1000+ on multiple platforms.
Q: If you had a chance to work alongside anybody who would that be?
That’s a hard one but I think an artist that I would love to work with right now is polo g. I haven’t heard a song by him that I don’t like and I think me and him could connect on a perfect level.
Q: What projects do you have coming up?
A project I have coming up is an album called “stuck in my head” I don’t have an exact date for when it comes out but when it does make sure to check it out.
Q: Who is your inspiration?
My biggest inspiration for rapping was artist jcole. He is one of the realest rappers in the game. He spits facts and people connect to his music on multiple levels, and id love to hear people say that about me someday.
Q: what’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?
10. The most interesting thing I’ve read this week is that Megan thee stallion got shot by torey lanez I don’t know if this was confirmed but either way it’s still crazy.
Q: What are your favorite venues to perform in?
I have actually not performed in any venues yet but it’s definitely a goal in the future for sure.
Q: Where people can see you in the Future?
Instagram link: @lilklip12
Q: Do you have any advice for young music makers like yourself?
My advice for other young musicians is stay in your lane, people are gonna tell you your vision is crazy and that your not gonna make it as an artist don’t let that kill your dream thrive off that hate cause at the end when you make it up it’s gonna feel pretty damn good to see how much you proved them wrong.
