Interview with SAIMÖÖ Released New Single “Make It Right”
Q: Please introduce yourself to the readers and how you first got into this field of work –and who were some of your influences growing up?
My name is Simone, I am an Italian DJ and music producer based in France. Music is my passion and I grew up with the influences of Corona, Gigi D’Agostino and some years later Eiffel 65. I bought my first dance music compilation when I was 7.
Q: What kind of training have you had, if any?
I learned by myself for the DJ mixes while for the production side I was amazed by the first Stromae’s videos in 2009, in the same year I started to produce music.
Q: What has been your favourite project to work on so far?
I don’t have a favorite project because they are different in genres but If I have to choose one, I would say the cover that I made of the most significant hit from Baccara “Yes Sir, I Can Boogie”. It was nice to imagine the song in a different way.
Q: What sports do you enjoy watching?
Football :) I am a huge fan of AS Roma
Q: What has been one of the biggest highlights/achievements of your career?
I had the opportunity to mix in front of 5 thousand people during the Cast Member Party in Disneyland Paris, it was my Tomorrowland :)
Q: If you had a chance to work alongside anybody who would that be?
Alesso. He is very talented, I have followed him since the beginning, he knows how to entertain the crowd and his music productions are amazing.
Q: What projects do you have coming up?
I have just released a new single called “Make It Right” in collaboration with Timmy Rise. The song has been released on July 29th, go check it out ;)
More music will be released in the next months.
Q: Who is your inspiration?
I like the work of several artists but I would say Alesso, Lost Frequencies, Stromae, and Don Diablo.
Q: What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?
Tomorrowland Livestream.
Q: What are your favorite venues to perform in?
I would love to perform at the O2 Brixton Academy in the UK, I was there once for the DJ Mag Show, which was amazing. But even a little stage at Tomorrowland will be nice ;)

Q: Do you have any advice for young music makers like yourself?
I am not young anymore but If I have to give a piece of advice it will be to release the music that you like as long as it is a good product, don’t stuck with labels. Don’t trust people asking for money in order to Skyrock your music career, it is just business for them.
Q: Who were the biggest inspirations for your career?
Eiffel 65
