Q: Please introduce yourself to the readers and how you first got into this field of work –and who were some of your influences growing up?

What’s up y’all it’s ERRSON from Long Island, NY. I started rapping about a year ago in 2020 when covid was at its peak. Before that, I was acting and studying jiu-jitsu. Growing up my favorite artists were Lil Wayne, Drake, 50 CENT, Andre 3000, BIGGIE and Meek Mill.

Q: What kind of training have you had, if any?

In the beginning, I had worked with the rap coach from YouTube for 6 months and I joined a membership with him on his Patreon. In my opinion this is the best person to learn from whether you worked personally with him or work with him through the pattern or discord. He helped me find who I am as an artist and taught me the basics I now use on a regular basis.

Q: What has been your favourite project to work on so far?

My first EP, Underdogs was by far the most favorite project to work on. I worked closely with my rap coach in Texas, in the studio watching and learning everything I can. That was my first time visiting Texas so to be involved in a bit of the culture was a great experience.

Q: How did you get the gig?

My best advice to the younger generation of artists is that there is no timetable on art. So keep creating content and making the music you want to hear because 9/10 there are others who want to hear it. Be yourself and keep your head up.

Q: What sports do you enjoy watching?

I played basketball for the most part of life so I still watch college basketball and the NBA. I also watch combat sports and football….GO RAVENS!! On the side, I train as a jiu-jitsu practitioner and an amateur fighter.

Q: What has been one of the biggest highlights/achievements of your career?

So far the biggest highlight of my life is the fact that I’m making music. I always wanted to rap since I was young and at the age of 29 I’m making my dreams and goals come true.

Q: If you had a chance to work alongside anybody who would that be?

I would like to collaborate with SiR, EST GEE, Lloyd, Roddy Rich, Dirk, Trippy Redd, Money man, Wiz Kid, Bad Bunny and Kendrick. I have a very long list but I’ll leave it at that.

Q: What projects do you have coming up?

I have 1000 Nights remix coming out soon and a single called Pockets full.

Q: Who is your inspiration?

I am inspired by Drake and his longevity. I understand he’s a 1 in a million artist but when it comes to longevity I feel like all artist should be taking notes. Also, Andre 3000 is another artist I am inspired by. The way he puts his words together is something unheard of until you hear it. I hope to reach that level of conversation on a song. That man speaks with the beat, he doesn’t rap on it. Give his flowers now.

Q: What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?

I just started investing in crypto and I made 1/4 my investment back, So thats something

Q: What are your favorite venues to perform in?

So far, I have only performed at my birthday gathering. But I’m working on trying to get onto stages. I would enjoy performing at some festivals like Rolling Loud, Summer Jam, or JMBLYA. I am only in the early stages of my career but I’m working hard to get there.
