Q: Hi Tedi! How have things been going since the release of your album, “The Queen of Pittsburgh?”

Hi! Things are going great since the release of the “Queen of Pittsburgh” album. The first single release “Evil Woman” has had over 82,000 streams on Spotify and the Evil Woman video has over 23,000 views. I started at ground zero as an unknown indie artist and the Evil Woman video was the only content I had. So, that’s an accomplishment. I don’t use bots. These are actual humans listening and watching. You have to start somewhere and I’m pleased with the progress me and my team are making.

Q: You’ve had quite a ride with your current single doing very well on the charts. What has been the most thrilling thing that’s happened to you in the past year?

Well, I’ve been around the block a few times. The most thrilling and enjoyable thing that has happened is people from my past are showing up and connecting with me again. It’s humbling. My high school classmates, old band members from the 70’s and 80’s, cousins, neighbors and friends have touched base and let me know they like and support what I’m doing. It’s heartwarming. I love them all.

Q: What do you like to do when you’re not making music?

I work hard and play hard. I enjoy traveling and just spent a month in Orlando in a house with it’s own heated pool and hot tub. It was glorious to having my morning coffee in the hot tub and floating while I meditate.

I’m the Italian Grandma who has the family over for dinners on the weekends and holidays. I love to cook. Trying new recipes, cooking methods and ingredients is how I roll. I come from a family of foodies and I’ve passed the love of cooking and enjoying great meals together down to our sons and their families.

Q: You live in Pittsburgh, PA. What is your favorite thing about the city?

I’ve been to many cities here and abroad and Pittsburgh is just so livable. We have just enough of everything without enormous crowds or traffic jams. The people are very friendly. We greet and acknowledge each other as we pass on the streets. We have museums, medicine, art, sports, universities, and music that rivals any city. Pittsburgh is a sophisticated small-town kinda city with down-to-earth people.

Q: If you could perform with anyone in the world, who would that be and why?

Anyone?? I’m not shy. I aim for the very top! So, Paul McCartney would be my choice. I remember seeing The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show and I lived through the impact they had. Paul is a bass player and I’m a drummer. We could make beautiful music together-LOL He was my first crush and he’s still adorable.

Q: Are you political at all? Do you get involved in social media Debates?

I do have my opinions and in the past I’ve been known to let people in on how I view things on social media. I quit that a few years ago. I’m saddened at how divided we’ve become and I don’t participate in social media debates anymore. I do think having different opinions is a very good thing. In countries where everyone thinks the same way half of them have a gun at their head. I think people need to keep that in mind when they start to believe silencing, banning, censoring those who have a different opinion is cool, yay for our side! Stick it to’em! They should carefully consider that they could be next.

Q: What is one thing about yourself that you would change?

I would like to be able to express my displeasure when things aren’t going my way in a nicer way. I tend to blurt shit out and it can hurt peoples’ feelings. I’m surrounded by talented, smart, and kind people. I’m the tough/rough one. When I lamented this lack of gentleness to my 93-year-old father he told me “Well Tedi, somebody has to be the engine”. That’s me I guess. I’m the engine. It’s my show. So, I don’t beat myself up about it so much now. I just keep trying to do the next right thing.

Q: If you had any advice for an up and coming artist, what would that Be?

Trust your gut! And don’t be afraid to be yourself. We are all unique and when you are comfortable being yourself it allows others to be comfortable being themselves. That’s where the bond takes place between an artist and the audience.

Q: Any plans for a new single?

The second single “Eat, Sleep, Repeat” was just released on Spotify recently and the video will be out very soon.

Q: Will you be releasing a follow-up album?

I plan on starting my third solo album next year. I will also be releasing my first solo album “Tattooed Women” next year.

Q: Any last shout-outs or words for your fans?
