An Interview with Uk Music Artist Jennifer Juan

Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background as an artist?
I’m Jennifer Juan and I’m a musician and writer from the UK. I also host a podcast, Sincerely, Jennifer x, where I share poetry and talk about writing and my life so far. I’ve been writing and creating since I was a kid, and I’ve been so grateful over the last few years to be able to turn it into a career.
Q: What can fans expect from your new EP, Sleepwalking?
It’s available from the 30th of August, and I’m really excited to share it with people. It’s a real mix of sounds and themes. I tried a lot of new things when writing and recording it, so it’s really different from a lot of my earlier work.
Q: What is your favourite song from the EP?
Probably the title track. It was really fun to try a lot of new sounds and techniques when I was writing it, and it has a lot of sentimental value. It’s about someone very special to me, and in a way, it brought us closer together again, which was really cool.
Q: What advice would you give to up and coming artists?
Be true to yourself, and be polite. I think that’s good advice that you can find useful in any career, but particularly when working creatively.
Q: Do you have any other projects on the way?
I have a new single called Calais and Dover that I’ll be releasing in September. It was one of the first things I wrote after finishing the EP. I try and always keep busy, so I go from working on one thing to another very quickly.
Q: Where people can find you?
I’m on Instagram @MissJSquared and Twitter with the username @MissJSquared, and my music is available on all digital stores and streaming services.
