An Interview with music artist Proph3t Nser
Please introduce yourself to the readers and how you first got into this field of work –and who were some of your influences growing up?
Bless up, I go by the name of Proph3t Nser I’m an international Reggae/R&B artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. I first seriously got in music around the age of 12 in middle school.
Around that time the biggest names in music I was listening to was Tupac, Bob Marley and Michael Jackson, All which I probably spent many nights in my room listening to solo.
What kind of training have you had, if any?
Growing up I really had to juggle between being good athletically and music being something I love doing. So growing up I was in a church choir, the school choir and any other non-traditional music and voice classes you can think of. You don’t think when your that young that being in the choir will help you in the future, your really just there to have fun and see a pretty woman sing when you're a little boy.
What has been your favourite project to work on so far?
By far my favorite project has been my new debut single “You” and the upcoming EP. This project is something that I’ve been working on going on two years, and the team I have behind me, Grammy award-winning engineer @will2powermusic and world-renowned guitarist Errol Moore have played a big part in my growth over these last couple years. So defiantly big up to them.
What sports do you enjoy watching?
I would say my favourite sport right now is boxing it's becoming entertaining again At least after Floyd retired.
What has been one of the biggest highlights/achievements of your career?
The biggest achievements so far are the numbers my debuts single is doing. Being an independent artist you don’t have the budget of some of these major artist. To be doing numbers like 20k streams within the first 2 weeks shows we really have a solid project and a fanbase that really support what IÕm doing with music.
If you had a chance to work alongside anybody who would that be?
It's so many big name artist that I can’t wait to get a chance to work with, but if I had to choose one right now it would be DJ Khaled he is always working hard to produce a new sound and with my genre of music I think that we could really produce something unique. Number two would be the old Kanye.
What projects do you have coming up?
I just released my debut single “You” May 24, 2019. So definitely go and check that out. We have a video we’re shooting towards the end of June following me @proph3tmusic on IG you get the fastest update for that.
Who is your inspiration?
Right now I would say my biggest inspiration is my little boys. When they see me doing what I love doing it pushes them to do what they love, and they do it with no fear. In turn, it inspires me to continue doing what I do. It's a beautiful thing to see because it all goes hand and hand so It's like we kinda inspire each other and they just don’t know it yet.
What are your favourite venues to perform in?
My Favorite venues to perform in are festivals, I’ve performed at a lot of festivals and the people come to have a good time and listen to some good music and that's what I give people every show. A lot of time goes into every performance. I usually have a lot of elements when I’m booked to perform a set. So from rehearsals, my team, the dancers and whatever else my team and I come up with, every show I make sure that crowd not only hears good music but see a good performance too.

How did you come up with the idea for your Music video?
The music video really goes hand in hand with the song. I really wanted to stick to what the song originally meant, but just add a little spice to it. We will be finishing shooting in late June and expect official release mid-July.
Do you have any advice for young music makers like yourself?
The best advice I can give is probably the most cliche advice everyone gives, which is work hard, but over the past two years. Even I’m starting to understand more of what that means. You really have to work harder than hard. You have to be the last one to go to sleep and the first one to wake up. You have to understand everybody wants that number one position, but the only person you are competing with is yourself. Are you going put in more work than what you put in yesterday? Once you get in a habit of doing that no matter what it is your always going to accomplish your goals.
