His bandage is facebook.com/4saykenism story is pretty different to the average person’s. I started writing raps as a way to vent my anger when he went to jail. At the time I was 13 and only started recording to make CDs and send them into prison so dad felt like we were in there with him. My first fanbase was essentially a bunch of prison inmates and my first underground mixtape was called for the prison cells. In a lot of ways music has kept me alive and out of prison. While I was young and dumb I thought that to step up and take the role of man of the house meant that I had to make money and so I did in stupid ways.
At 16 I was on burglary charges and got discharged (restorative justice) because the judge thought I had a future with music and had to record him a song (road to redemption) showing what the ordeal had taught me. I also tutored a workshop called Hip hop rehab in which I helped rehabilitate and reintegrate prisoners into society with hip hop being the main point of focus in order to reach them. I’ve performed in Aotea square with king lapis with a live orchestra to back me (apo) in 2015. I’m able to play drums. guitar. keyboard write record mix master produce my own music. my influences are rappers like tech n9ne bone thugs rittz and Yelawolf.
