An Interview with Dimitris Kapetanakis on Release of his new single “Bedroom”
Meet the new pop artist, his latest single is called “Bedroom”.
Dimitris Kapetanakis (DK) is a Greek pop singer, songwriter and music producer. He was born in Thessaloníki and from a very young age started engaging with singing and songwriting. He did his first live performance at the age of 17 in one of Greece’s biggest venues named “BOOM” in his hometown. He performed in venues and sold out clubs all over Greece and London with Greece’s biggest names of the music industry and wrote and produced songs for many albums and cd singles in various genres such as pop,dance,jazz,rock etc,one of them certified gold in Greece. The Grammy award nominee Milcho Leviev was featured in one of the songs that he wrote and produced with Sokratis Papaioannou .The name of the song is “O Klooun” (the clown) and the jazz legend played the melodica and left his mark at this production. He released songs with Warner Music,Spicy,Minos Emi and Nota Rec as a singer and a songwriter.

Q: Please introduce yourself to the readers and how you first got into this field of work –and who were some of your influences growing up?
My name is Dimitris Kapetanakis and I am a Greek pop singer, songwriter and music producer trying to get in the music business of the whole world right now! My favorite artists and my influences are of course Ed Sheeran and Michael Jackson! Also, I really admire Post Malone and Justin Bieber!
Q: When do you hope to release more new music and a full collection of new songs?
.I just released my new song “Bedroom” and I am really happy to show my music production skills to the world apart from singing and songwriting! I am working now to many new songs and releases in Greek and English as well!
Q: The most recent release was “Bedroom ”, written by you An First English Song, what does this song mean to you?
This song is my first English song! Also is the first song that I produced all by my self so I am really happy that I can show that to the world as well!
Q: What has been your favourite project to work on so far?
I did a collaboration with the Grammy award nominee Milcho Leviev in a song that I co-wrote with Sokratis Papaioannou and we had the M. N. O. honor to have him put his magical hands on the production! The name of the song is “the clown”
Q: How did you come up with the idea for your New Music Single?
Life is giving me the ideas to make my music and my music videos as well! I enjoy being out in nature and living! This is the best!
Q: What roadblocks did you faced when you were starting out?
It is always hard for a new artist to try to get in the music industry but if you really love what you do and have faith everything is possible!
Q: What has been one of the biggest highlights/achievements of your career?
My first golden cd single in Greece was for sure my biggest moment! The purpose of this release was to help a charity organization and people loved it and made it to the top!
Q: Who were the biggest inspirations for your career?
My biggest inspirations were my hometown and the people I have grown up to.

Life is my inspiration!
Q: What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?
Every day I see and explore something new so everything can be interesting even the weather when it changes and rains after a really warm day !
Q: What are your favorite venues to perform in?
Greece and London have the best venues and I really enjoy performing there!
