Actress Lunden De’Leon Trades Movies for Politics
Best known for her roles in over 50 movies and television shows including “Sweet Home Carolina”, “Blackbear” and “We’re the Millers” to name a few, actress Lunden De’Leon recently announced that she is running for Mullins City Council District 1 in her hometown of Mullins, South Carolina, under her legal of Cynthia Furnace.
“Running for office is my way of giving back,” says De’Leon. “I‘m rolling up my sleeves and tackling issues that’s important to my community.”
A small southern town is best known for its tobacco museum, De’Leon left a career in Hollywood and moved to Mullins, SC in 2008. De’Leon soon started “The Lunden De’Leon Foundation” helping underprivileged kids in the area.
Election Day for De’Leon is Tuesday, November 3rd. She can currently be seen playing the role of “Nurse London”
in the Netflix film “Blackbear”.
